Ironstone Gully Falls

Iron Stone Gully Falls are situated between Capel and Donnybrook in our states South West. The whole area where the falls are was allocated to be a recreational area in the very early 1900's.

These falls are only flowing through the winter months after weeks of heavy rain. The water, which is a tributary from the Capel River, flows along the ground and cascades over a rocky ledge. The rock itself contains a fairly high content of Iron, hence its name, and has a distinct redish colour.
