Collection: Meelup Beach
Meelup Beach, nestled along the sheltered coastline of Geographe Bay in Western Australia's southwest, is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, powder-white sand, and tranquil sun-drenched atmosphere. Surrounded by granite headlands and pockets of coastal bushland, the beach offers a pristine canvas of vibrant colours, gentle light, and calm ocean movement, all coming together as one. Its protected bay creates mirror-like reflections on still days, while the rocky edges of Meelup provide natural foreground interest for wide-angle coastal compositions.
The clarity of the water, combined with the beach's sweeping curves and granite outcrops compliments the serenity of a windless morning or the gentle movement of waves lapping against the rocks. Shifting light throughout the day, from sunrise to sunset, reveals a dynamic smorgasbord of rich blues, golden hues, and soft pastels. This is one location that I know will provide something special when my camera is in hand and I could very easily spend hours here to soak up what is on offer.
