Collection: Yallingup
Yallingup, Western Australia - a place where powerful Indian Ocean swells meet ancient limestone cliffs, and soft white sand gives way to sculptured granite and turquoise lagoons. Sunrise spills across Yallingup Beach, casting long shadows over the reef breaks, while the surrounding Leeuwin-Naturaliste ridge offers elevated vantage points that reveal the coastline's expanse of curves and textures.
Just minutes away, the iconic Canal Rocks and Smiths Beach showcase Yallingup's wilder side, with churning channels, wave-carved formations, and crystal-clear water that shifts from deep cobalt to luminous aquas. At golden hour, the cliffs glow with warm tones, and long-exposures can transform the surging ocean into silky ribbons of motion. This is a regular place for me to visit to capture storm fronts rolling in from the west, tranquil rockpools at low tide, and even the Milky Way rising over the headlands. Here I find myself lost in the moments, oblivious to time, and focused solely on my goal of capturing images that tell a story.
