Collection: Redgate Beach
Redgate Beach, located just south of Margaret River on Western Australia's rugged coastline, is dramatic, atmospheric, and captures my attention with every visit. Known for its powerful surf, sculptured granite boulders, and stretches of white sand, Redgate offers a raw coastal energy that feels both wild and cinematic. The beach's exposed position makes it a magnet for shifting weather, rolling swells, and dynamic light - perfect conditions for moody seascapes, long exposure wave trails, and striking foregrounds.
As the day unfolds, Redgate Beach reveals a constantly changing colour palette. Early mornings bring soft pastel skies and gentle reflections across the wet sand, while midday light illuminates the shallows between the rocks. By late afternoon, the sun drops behind the western horizon, casting warm golden tones across the granite formations and igniting the surf with fiery highlights. If I'm shooting from the dunes, exploring the rock platforms, or framing the dramatic coastline, Redgate Beach provides opportunities to create bold, expressive coastal imagery.
