Canal Rocks bridge at dawn.
Canal Rocks is a beautiful series of granite rocks south of Yallingup in the southwest of Western Australia. It is aptly named due to a large channel that has been carved by thousands of years of strong seas and currents. A section of the Cape-to-Cape Track passes nearby with many hikers and visitors stopping to admire the beauty of this location.
A man-made bridge allows tourists to cross over part of an ocean channel to adjacent rocks. This channel can sometimes have huge tidal surges on days of rough weather. So much so that the bridge was recently destroyed by them and had to undergo some heavy duty repairs.
